Lake Pointe Resort.
A resort campground on Canyon Lake Texas. When I arrived I could not get over the resemblance of the resort,
particularly the foreshore of the lake, to my resort back in Bonnie Doon. Water level was down as there had been a
drought in the area and the growth of bushes covering the land between the high water mark and current
water level brought back memories. The following day was drizzle all day with foggy low cloud, again like some of
the days at Bonnie Doon. I could not get over the similarities.
The Resort had a boom gate entry with key pad and exit drive over spiked pad. It had gravel roads and quite a
number of sites with concrete slabs. Over half the sites only had water and power and the sewered sites seemed
occupied with more longer term occupants. It had two swimming pools, an adult one and a family one. Facilities were
old but clean and the clubroom it seemed, was always occupied. Three clubs were associated with this member based
campground. They were Coast to Coast, Escapes RV Club and Passport America. Again many Deer were friendly and
roamed through the campground.
