My First Resort, Colorado Heights
Resort.

I left Vail (2 photos above taken 2 days before I left) on the 25th of April heading to Colorado Heights Resort
at Monument in Colorado, just over 3.5 Hours from Vail. Was delayed on way down by the tunnel road works at Idaho
Springs for half an hour. During my stay at Colorado Heights I did a couple of day trips, The first was up Pikes
Peak where they hold a world famous car race to the top of the mountain once a year. It was a dangerous drive,
narrow road and many sheer drops of the road and a number of hair pin bends.

After Colorado Heights, I delayed my departure 2 days due to snow, I made my way over a couple of
mountain passes both over 10,000ft above sea level to Blue Mesa RV Ranch near Gunnison Colorado. The lake reminded
me of Bonnie Doon and Lake Eildon Boat Harbor

I ended up staying in Blue Mesa Ranch for an extra 2 days due to snow falls again, as I had another pass
to climb to get to Cortez down near four corners I think this was worthwhile as there was snow on the side of the
road as I went over this pass. A night in Cortez Good Sam Park and then down to Four Corners for some photos and
the off to Monument Valley.

Four corners is the only area in the United States where four states meet.
